CalOptima is responsible for ensuring that all staff, Health Network staff and health care providers, who interact with CalOptima Members, receive cultural competency and disability awareness training. The training modules contain topic specific content created in accordance with Medi-Cal Managed Care Division (MMDC) All Plan Letter 11-010; Competency and Sensitivity Training Required in Serving the Needs of Seniors and Persons with Disabilities, or any update or revision thereof, and the CalOptima Three-way Agreement with CMS and DHCS for Cal MediConnect.
