As Executive Director, Strategic Development, Donna Laverdiere steers the development and implementation of CalOptima Health’s Strategic Plan and other major planning and growth initiatives. She also works closely with Government Relations while engaging in strategic public policy positioning for the health plan. Laverdiere possesses more than 17 years of government, managed care and consulting experience, with a particular emphasis on Medicaid managed care. She previously served as Senior Director of Medicaid Strategy for Kaiser Permanente and held leadership positions with consulting firm Health Management Associates and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. Laverdiere earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Tufts University and a master’s degree in public policy from Duke University.
