Enjoy Full Medi-Cal Benefits Regardless of Your Immigration Status
On January 1, 2024, a new law in California expanded Medi-Cal, so more people can get the health care services they need. Applying for or using Medi-Cal does not affect your immigration status. You could now qualify for Medi-Cal if you:
- Live in California
- Are 26–49 years old (those under age 26 or over 50 could already qualify for Medi-Cal)
- Meet income and household eligibility requirements
