Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees can save on eligible medical, dental, vision and dependent care expenses by enrolling in a Flexible Spending Account (FSA). These pre-tax accounts provide a convenient way to manage health-related costs throughout the year.

Retirement Benefits

CalPERS

CalOptima Health participates in the California Public Employees’ Retirement System (CalPERS), providing employees with a defined benefit pension plan. Employees contribute a percentage of their salary, and employer contributions help ensure financial stability in retirement. Vesting occurs after five years of service.

PARS

We also offer a supplemental retirement plan through the Public Agency Retirement System (PARS). This employer-funded plan provides additional financial security for eligible employees.

457(b) Retirement Savings Plan

Employees can take control of their retirement savings through a 457(b) Deferred Compensation Plan, which allows pre-tax contributions similar to a 401(k). This voluntary plan enables employees to save for the future with tax-deferred growth.

Additional Insurance

Company-Provided Insurance

CalOptima Health provides employer-paid life and disability insurance to support employees and their families in times of need. Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance is also included, offering additional financial protection in unexpected situations.

If an illness or injury prevents you from working, our disability coverage helps replace lost income. Short-term disability provides financial support during recovery, while long-term disability ensures continued protection if you need extended time off.

Term Life Insurance

Employees have access to flexible term life insurance options for themselves, their spouses or domestic partners. This benefit helps ensure financial security and peace of mind for your loved ones.
