預先授權

某些類型的護理，將需要您的醫生或專科醫生在您獲得護理前，先向您的醫療網或 CalOptima 申請授權。這也叫做申請預先授權，預先批准，或預批。它代表您的醫療網或 CalOptima 必須先確認該護理有醫療必要性，或需求。

只要能合理且必要的保護您的生命，能防止您受到嚴重傷害或致殘，或緩解劇烈疼痛，該護理就有醫療必要性。

以下服務通常需要獲得預先批准，即使在您醫療網，或 CalOptima 網絡內的醫療服務者處接受的服務:

在急救護理情況下，您永遠不需要獲得預先批准，即使在網絡外。這包括嬰兒分娩的情況。

如果您想要申請預先授權，請聯絡您的家庭醫生 (PCP) 或專科醫生。
