CHILDREN’S MENTAL HEALTH

1. Expand Access To Outpatient Children’s Mental Health Services (RFP67-18-01)

CalOptima is awarding up to $4,850,000 for outpatient children’s mental health services program(s) that create/expand school or resource center-based mental health services for children. Programs should provide services (i.e. mental health and wellness, empowerment, in-home, outpatient, and/or support services etc.) targeting vulnerable populations such as children with many Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), children experiencing homelessness, violence, abuse or other traumatic experiences. In addition to services, projects must include outreach, engagement and education to reduce stigma against mental illness to parents, school personnel and/or community-based organizations.

2. Integrate Children’s Mental Health Services Into Primary Care Settings (RFP67-18-02)

CalOptima is awarding up to $4,850,000 for integration of children’s mental health services into pediatric primary care settings where children receive their day-to-day health/medical care services from a doctor, nurse practitioner or physician assistant (i.e. doctor’s office, community clinic, etc.). In addition to services, projects must include outreach, engagement and education to reduce stigma against mental illness to parents, school personnel and/or community-based organizations.
