Jackie Brodsky

Jackie Brodsky, RN is a retired health care provider who has lived in Orange County since 1967. During that time, she held a variety of positions in the medical field, including with UC Irvine Medical Center as a medical/surgical unit staff nurse and director of employee health, and with Chapman University as director of student health. Brodsky became a nurse practitioner in 1995, entering private practice with a group of three physicians in Orange. Six years later, she helped establish the Student Health Clinic at Soka University in Aliso Viejo. After retiring from Soka, she served as a member of the Orange County Grand Jury from 2015–16. Brodsky fills the CalOptima Board seat reserved for a CalOptima member or a family member of a CalOptima member. In 2016, she became legally responsible for her sister who has dementia and lives in facility with Medi-Cal support. Brodsky was appointed a CalOptima director in August 2020.
